corporate

The language we use about any kind of organisation is about the amount of "life" that it has.

Or we might use the word "energy" - the vitality of this group of human beings that creates growth perhaps - and all businesses need to be able to grow.

At the heart of all such organisations are people . Healthy workforce functioning at top capacity - healthy business, something learned in my own business experience.

When situations occur then that threaten to slow down this growth and sap the energy so vital to your business what do you do? If it is a situation you have met before then maybe you can use tried and trusted methods - but even then you may find something you did a number of years ago is not working now.

bullet  Enter the Coach

There are two broad ways that I have seen Coaches work.

The first is a stance that presumes knowledge and skill - expertise if you will - so the coach presumes to know the answer to a problem. From this stance you would expect that person to immerse themselves in your organisation and through observation and skills applied on their part provide a way forward that will meet your needs.

The second - the stance I use - is where the coach chooses to know as little as possible about the issue or indeed the company prior to actually meeting you the client! This is because I have the belief that you have the skills and abilities already  there to meet whatever situation arises. The expertise I have lies in helping you find solutions - to help you reach goals using the mass of talent and ability that any good organisation has.

bullet    Organisational Development

Any situation you may have where you feel you have yet to reach your best is the ideal situation in which to involve me. That could include any of the following or indeed any situation you come across in business:-

bullet  Identifying processes that create better communication

bullet  Enabling teams and departments to work together more efficiently

bullet  Breaking through impasse at any level

bullet  Resolving conflict at any level

bullet  Finding ways of dealing with bullying and or harassment

bullet  Training for teams or groups to help company growth

The list is by no means exhaustive. Whateve the situation I create a safe environment, enabling people to use their skills to create a culture that is very different from one which focuses on "problems".

bullet  The first step
